It has been several years since the last Bad Boys movie came out – 2003 to be exact! Now, 15 years later the 3rd installment of the film has been officially announced.
Today Will Smith took to his Instagram account to enthusiastically announce that, “It’s Official. Bad boys 3 is happening, it’s official.” You can check out the Instagram post below.
The journey for Bad Boys 3, officially titled Bad Boys for Life, has been extremely rocky up until now. There have been rumors of this film getting the green light for years; we’d hear progress, then nothing, then progress starting again, and then nothing. However, back in May, Sony announced that Bad Boys for Life would finally get a release date of January 17, 2020 but his was only after the film had been pulled from the release date calendar for nearly a year, so many, including myself, were skeptical.
In fact just last year, star of the franchise Martin Lawrence was asked to comment on any progress with the Bad Boys for Life project where he said the following:
I don’t think we’re going to get one, not the way everything’s turning out. Will is off doing another movie, and I don’t think it’s going to happen. I’m there, I’m ready right now. If they wanted to do it, I’m ready, but I don’t have control of that. That’s the studio’s decision.”
Thankfully Lawrence was wrong because the pieces seem to be coming together. The latest script for the film is being penned by Chris Bremner who did The Wedding Ringer and is being directed by Adil El Arbi and Balall Fallah.
It has been a very long time since we saw Will Smith animated movie, and the long wait is over! Today we got our first look at the new animated movie from Sony and Blue Sky production, Spies in Disguise.
Spies in Disguise is helmed by first time directors Nick Bruno and Troy Quane. Adding their voices alongside Smith is Karen Gillan, Tom Holland, and Rashida Jones.
From the very short amount of information given in this trailer, it still looks awesome. It is about time we got Will Smith back into an animated role, his voice as a Pigeon is perfect.
Spies in Disguise will open on September 13, 2019.

Disney has finally released their first look at their live action Aladdin in the form of the biggest teaser trailer ever. Just yesterday we got our first look at a teaser poster, and many speculated, correctly, that they would drop a teaser trailer toady – which you can see below
The film is set to be remake of the beloved animated feature with original and new songs written by Benji Pasek and Justin Paul who did music for the beloved musical The Greatest Showman. The film will star Billy Magnussen as Aladdin, Will Smith as the Genie, and Naomi Scott as Jasmin.
While this teaser trailer doesn’t show much in the form of narrative, nor does it show any of the main characters outside of Aladdin himself, it does give just enough to know that this movie just may be that “diamond in the rough.”
Aladdin is set to be released on May 25th, so be prepared for more promotional material in the coming months.
What did you think of this trailer? Is it enough to get you excited, or are you still holding out? Leave a comment below and let me know what you think. We can make a discussion out of it.
Have you heard the word? Well, this is the word – Sony is in talks to get a new Men in Black movie off the ground, and they already have a director in mind.
According to a report put out by Variety, Sony is in talks with Straight Outta Compton and The Fate of the Furious director F. Gary Gray to helm a new version of Men in Black
It is unknown at this time if previous Men in Black stars Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones will make an appearance in this new film, but it is said that the new story will focus on new characters that are apart of the same alien hunting organization.
From all accounts this does not seem like a “reboot,” but rather a new story in an already established universe. In the same vein that the new Jurassic Park movies take place in the same universe established in 1993 but revolve around new characters. Currently Suicide Squad is battling very low critic reviews, however that doesn’t seem to be keeping the film down!
According to a report from Variety the film has already been able to bring in $8.1 million across seven international markets, which includes South Korea’s $2.9 Million and France’s $2.7 Million. Looking at these numbers it is already set to pass box office jugernauts Guardians of the Galaxy and Deadpool – and it shows no signs of slowing down.
The film set to release in another 57 international markets and is tracking to bring in more than $100 million in those markets.
Warner Bros. has got to be happy with the film tracking like this in the international market because they spent a reported $175 Million in making the movie. So if the film performs as well here in the U. S as it seems to be in the rest of the world then they will be in the black. Its been reported by several sites that the Suicide Squad movie went back to do some major reshoots before the August release date. According to several rumors it was because they felt the need to add more humor to the film for it being too “dark and gloomy and not fun” like Batman v. Superman was. However, after the release of this trailer consider that rumor FALSE! There is obviously going to be humor and fun in this film, albeit dark humor, but it still looks like a fun time. Check it out!
Now, is this trailer awesome just because it’s set to “Ballroom Blitz”? Probably. But it follows that “fun” tone that the first trailer gave that was set to “Bohemian Rhapsody.” If you have not seen that trailer then treat yourself!

It’s finally out! A second trailer for the upcoming Suicide Squad (released date Aug. 5) trailer debuted last night as a part of the DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League special on The CW.
Suicide Squad is directed by David Ayer (End of Watch) and tells the story of a group of super villains who are released from prison in order to complete a mission that’s nobler than the team is used to. The squad is made up of Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), Katana (Karen Fukuhara), Rick Flagg (Joel Kinnaman), Deadshot (Will Smith) Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Slipknot (Adam Beach), Enchantress (Cara Delevingne), and Diablo (Jay Hernandez).
Also, making his cinematic debut, assuming there is not a surprise cameo in the upcoming Batman v. Superman, is The Joker (Jared Leto). And as the clown prince of crime said, “I can’t wait to show you my toys.”
“Worst. Heroes. Ever.” At least that what director, David Ayer, said when he took to his Twitter page today to give us a look at some new Suicide Squad posters as well as to announce the date of a new Trailer!
David Ayer’s post includes a picture of the new poster with skulls representing each member of the Suicide Squad. Along with Ayer’s announcement, actors Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Adam Beach (Slipknot), and Karen Fukuhara (Katana) all tweeted out with the same written content as Ayer, “Worst. Heroes. Ever. #SuicideSquad trailer drops Tuesday night in the DC Films Special! 9:30/8:30c on The CW!” – only difference is that they had posters with their individual characters on them.

“Today you will once again be fighting for our freedom. Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution, but from annihilation. And should you win the day, the Fourth of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day when the world declared in one voice we will not go quietly into the night, we will not finish without a fight. We’re going to live on. We’re going to survive. Today we celebrate our …” cue title!
