Once again, I get to talk about myself with another opinion question! Awesome. Sarah from Zwolle, La writes:
Hey! I have a question. What summer blockbuster are you most excited about this year? Also, what is your favorite Marvel character to date?
Thanks for the question Sarah!
This is actually an interesting question because the blockbuster movie that I was most looking forward to was Captain America: Civil War – and that movie already came out, I saw it, I loved it.
So now I have to decide what my favorite blockbuster is now that I am most looking forward to. And I’m going to admit – I’m going to cheat and say that I have two now that are tied for first place! Continue reading “Q&A: Blockbuster I’m most excited for/Favorite Marvel Character”
The Accountant is a movie that seems to have completely flown under my radar. Seeing as the movie seems to have a Jason Bourne type of feel to it, I’m going to cut myself a break.
Check out the trailer here.

Its here! The second trailer for the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows debuted today, and I have to say I am stunned at how much fun it looks. This trailer looks to show that this movie’s tone is going to be along the lines of the late 1980’s cartoon and that couldn’t get me more excited. Check it out; what do you think?

The first teaser for Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, like many first teasers, was all about setting a tone and getting the movie’s name out there. If you check out my past article on it you will see that I was not that impressed with it. It wasn’t bad, just underwhelming. However, thanks to the MTV Movie Awards, we have our first proper look at this prequel/spinoff of the Harry Potter series, and it actually tells looks pretty good!
The film is written by J.K. Rowling, who everyone knows as the author of the absurdly popular Harry Potter novels, and directed by David Yates, who directed the last four installments in the Harry Potter film franchise. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them tells the adventure of writer Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) in 1920’s New York’s secret community of witches and wizards seventy years before Harry Potter reads his book in school.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is set to be in theaters on November 18, 2016. Will the potterheads be happy? Or will they not? Only time will tell.
After 12 Days of Deadpool we finally got our big gift promised to us. Two trailers, in fact — one that Fox dubbed “nice,” seen here, and one dubbed “naughty.” Check out the naughty, Red Band, trailer below. Neither trailer can truly be deemed “safe for the family.” However, would you expect any more from Deadpool this Christmas?
Directed by Tim Miller and written by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, Deadpool stars Ryan Reynolds (who also co-produces) as the Merc with the mouth, along with Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano, Ed Skrein, T. J. Miller as Deadpool’s only friend, Weasel. Along with Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Stefan Kapičić as Colossus. Yes, this is in the same universe as the beloved X-Men movies, and yes Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Colossus are part of the X-Men Universe. Just in case you were wondering.
Deadpool kicks off the comic book movies this 2016 on February 12.

Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Paramount Pictures has dropped the first trailer for the next installment in their retconned Star Trek journey.
After 2013’s Star Trek Into Darkness‘s mild fan success, Star Trek Beyond appears to have revved its engines in the hands of a new director, Justin Lin, who previously directed four of the Fast and the Furious movies.
The Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage” provides an amped-up musical backdrop throughout the clip, also hearkening back to a pivotal scene from the 2009 reboot in which we see a young James T. Kirk rocking out to the classic ‘ 90s track while driving a stolen car.
Producing the film, not directing this time, is J.J. Abrams – who stepped down from directorial duties to focus on Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin and co-writer Simon Pegg are all back for this new film, and facing what is sure to be a very formidable new foe, Idris Elba. Who is nearly rendered unrecognizable under heavy alien prosthetics.
Star Trek Beyond boldly goes into theaters on July 22, 2016.
“Today you will once again be fighting for our freedom. Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution, but from annihilation. And should you win the day, the Fourth of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day when the world declared in one voice we will not go quietly into the night, we will not finish without a fight. We’re going to live on. We’re going to survive. Today we celebrate our …” cue title!
Twenty years after Will Smith owned July 4th, the aliens — and most of the 1996 cast — have returned in Independence Day: Resurgence. Independence Day: Resurgence is set for a release date of June 24, 2016.

X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters on May 27, 2015.
An awesome trailer for The Legend of Tarzan, featuring Alexander Skarsgard as the “Lord of the Apes” and Margot Robbie as Jane dropped today and it looks amazing! Director of the film, David Yates (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 & 2) seems to be bring the jungle legend to life in a very positive way. In the trailer there is beautiful camerawork amidst the trees and what look like come crazy action sequences between the film villains, protagonist, and of course gorillas.
The villain of the film is intriguing, because it involves Christoph Waltz, who is always a great villain. Acting alongside Walts will be Samuel L. Jackson, who will surely bring a manic energy to the film as he always does.
The film obviously is not an adaptation of the Disney animated film, Tarzan, but is more of an adaptation of the collection of books made famous by author Edgar Rice Burroughs. The Legend of Tarzan has a release date set for July 1, 2016.
