A Former Ghostbuster Defends New ‘Ghostbusters’

Lately it seems that the most popular thing to do on the Internet these days is to hate on the upcoming rebooted Ghostbusters movie staring Kate McKinnon, Mellissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, and Leslie Jones.  And while the first trailer for the movie was not at all a well made trailer, I have to say it doesn’t deserve the hate that it has been received as it currently sits as the most disliked movie trailer in YouTube history.

First ‘Ghostbusters’ Trailer Drops

The very first trailer for the brand-new Ghostbusters movie has dropped. Featuring a whole new lineup of Ghostbusters, and a very familiar tune

Directed by Paul Feig of (Bridesmaids) the new team of Ghostbusters is made up of Melissa McCarthyKristen WiigKate McKinnon , and Leslie Jones.

Something to point out about this trailer that is honestly, weird, is that it says “30 years ago four scientists saved New York.” This is weird because Sony has been very clear over the past year that this movie is not a sequel to the original Ghostbuster movies, nor does it even take place in the same universe.  So either they lied, or the advertising department has made a mistake.  Hopefully this is the only issue the movie has.

Ghostbusters is set be released into theaters this summer, July 15th.
