‘Baby Driver 2’ May Return with Edgar Wright Back in the Driver’s Seat

If you’re like me then one of your favorite movies to have come out of 2017 was Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver. And if you are like me, then you’ll be excited to know that Wright has assured us all that he would be the only one to come back direct a Baby Driver sequel!

Should a sequel happen, this is nothing but good news. Baby Driver become one of the biggest box office successes of 2017 – making $225 million worldwide. It make just over $100 million domestically. Not only was it a box office smash, it was one of the few films that was loved by both critics and audiences – getting a 93% fresh ratting on Rotten Tomatoes as well as an A- score on CinemaScore. With all these accolades it is understandable why a sequel is very much a possibility.

MTV managed to speak to Edgar Wright at the Golden Gloves and asked the director about the status of the Baby Driver sequel. And while there is still no concrete deal agreed upon, Wright says not only will he be the only one to direct a Baby Driver 2, but that he already knows where the new plot should go.

‘Baby Driver’ Review – A stylish and original mob movie

Baby Driver is a stylish and completely original mob movie that is a welcoming breath of fresh air within a summer movie season that has been just okay so far.  The film follows Baby, a get-away driver who has been coerced into working for a crime boss and must pull off daring escapes from impossible heists.  However, he is looking for his chance to leave the life behind and just when he thinks he has a plan, things get really crazy really fast.

Director and writer Edgar Wright brings a specific style of direction that only he can bring to a film, and it works perfectly for Baby Driver.  The movie is full of great car chases, top acting, crazy and colorful characters, and awesome music.  There are very few movies out there where only a specific director could tell a particular story, but in this case Wright is the only director that could have pulled this off.  Only Edgar Wright could have selected the music heard throughout the nearly two-hour long runtime and accompanied it with all the action, character moments, and humor in the movie.  The movie can almost be classified as a musical because of how the music is written into he script, and complements everything the characters are doing.  (more…)

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies Trailer

Sony has released a new trailer for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. The movie is being directed by Burr Steers (Igby Goes Down) and is based on Seth Grahame-Smith’s parody novel of the same name.

The film is about the Bennet sisters plated by Lily  James, Ellie BamberMillie Brady, Bella Heathcote and Suki Waterhouse as they deal with 19th century England society pressures of being women while trying to save their town from invading zombies!

The only thing I can say about this movie is…..”THIS LOOKS AWESOME!” I really hope that this movie is good.  It looks like a lot of fun.
