It has been several years since the last Bad Boys movie came out – 2003 to be exact! Now, 15 years later the 3rd installment of the film has been officially announced.
Today Will Smith took to his Instagram account to enthusiastically announce that, “It’s Official. Bad boys 3 is happening, it’s official.” You can check out the Instagram post below.
The journey for Bad Boys 3, officially titled Bad Boys for Life, has been extremely rocky up until now. There have been rumors of this film getting the green light for years; we’d hear progress, then nothing, then progress starting again, and then nothing. However, back in May, Sony announced that Bad Boys for Life would finally get a release date of January 17, 2020 but his was only after the film had been pulled from the release date calendar for nearly a year, so many, including myself, were skeptical.
In fact just last year, star of the franchise Martin Lawrence was asked to comment on any progress with the Bad Boys for Life project where he said the following:
I don’t think we’re going to get one, not the way everything’s turning out. Will is off doing another movie, and I don’t think it’s going to happen. I’m there, I’m ready right now. If they wanted to do it, I’m ready, but I don’t have control of that. That’s the studio’s decision.”
Thankfully Lawrence was wrong because the pieces seem to be coming together. The latest script for the film is being penned by Chris Bremner who did The Wedding Ringer and is being directed by Adil El Arbi and Balall Fallah.
The advertising campaign is in full swing for Paramount’s sixth installment in the Mission: Impossible franchise, and Tom Cruise is leading the charge.
In the last two days the leading actor has been using his social media accounts to announce to the world that a new Mission: Impossible movie is indeed upon us this year. With these posts to his Instagram and Twitter we now know that the title of the movie is Mission: Impossible – Fallout, that Cruise can actually jump tall buildings in a single bound, and that hanging on to the side of a flying helicopter is not a problem for the 55-year-old actor.
Check out the posts below!
“We’ve upped the ante for the sixth #MissionImpossible,” he captioned in his Instagram post. “I can’t wait for you guys to see more.”
And this morning in his tweet he says, “Get ready for the most thrilling mission yet…”.
And just like that, I, and everyone else, is looking forward to this movie coming out this summer. With this much content coming out at the moment, be on the lookout for a trailer very soon.
What do you think of these new photos? What do you think of the new movie title? Will you be seeing this movie in the theater? Leave a comment below. We can make a discussion out of it.
There have been reports of a Jumanji remake in the works for the past several years, and it looks like the ball is rolling in full force on the remake.
Jumanji has just added comedian actor Jack Black to the film. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson went to his Instagram account on Wednesday to announce the news.
Johnson, who was cast in the movie a few weeks ago alongside Kevin Hart, said about the movie: “In our reimagining of the story of Jumanji, Jack brings that rare balance of cool with funy and edge with childlike joy. The ‘Jumanji Breakfast club’ is coming together….myself, Jack (mf’n) Black and Kevin Hart.”
Johnson also noted that there are still two roes that have yet to be cast: “One bad ass girl. One semi-sorta bad ass dude.”
The reveal for this came shortly after Johnson assured the fans that that the new Jumanji remake will indeed honor the late Robin Williams, who was the star of the original 1995 film.
Johnson told fans: “An important thing that I want to be honest and bring up is Robin Williams…The love and respect I have for this man is boundless. You have my word, we will honor his name and the character of Alan Parrish.”
“I have an idea of what to do and I think his family will be proud,” the star added. “I also think Robin is somewhere lookin’ down and laughing, remembering the first time we met backstage and I (for the first time ever) was a star struck bumbling idiot.”
Some people are still very skeptical of the project, and think that it should still be left alone. I am not among that group. I am very much looking forward to this movie. Everything that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has touched over the past several years has turned to gold. And I am expecting the same with this Jumanji movie.
The Jumanji remake is set to be releases on July 28, 2017.
