If you have been keeping track of the drama coming out of Warner Brothers about their stand alone Batman film you know that the project has been a disaster. As of this week an announcement was released that Ben Affleck would be stepping down from his position as director of the film. This was on the heels of reported problems with the film’s script as well as speculation that executives at Warner Brothers were not seeing eye to eye with Affleck. The script was penned by both Affleck and Geoff Johns. However that script was then rewritten by Chris Terrio, whose Argo screenplay won an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay. Things seem bad enough yet? Well there’s more. Continue reading “The Warner Brothers’ “The Batman” Now Undergoing Page One Rewrite”
It’s finally out! A second trailer for the upcoming Suicide Squad (released date Aug. 5) trailer debuted last night as a part of the DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League special on The CW.
Suicide Squad is directed by David Ayer (End of Watch) and tells the story of a group of super villains who are released from prison in order to complete a mission that’s nobler than the team is used to. The squad is made up of Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), Katana (Karen Fukuhara), Rick Flagg (Joel Kinnaman), Deadshot (Will Smith) Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Slipknot (Adam Beach), Enchantress (Cara Delevingne), and Diablo (Jay Hernandez).
Also, making his cinematic debut, assuming there is not a surprise cameo in the upcoming Batman v. Superman, is The Joker (Jared Leto). And as the clown prince of crime said, “I can’t wait to show you my toys.”
Here we have a very special type of question. It’s a straight up opinion question – and I love me some opinion questions. It means I get to give my truest answer and I’m not wrong in any way, shape or form. And it doesn’t matter what anybody else thinks.
And this very special question is asked by Victoria Neet.
Which villain would you have preferred in “Batman v. Superman” instead of Doomsday?
For those you who don’t know who Doomsday is; he is a villain in the DC Universe who is most famous for being the one to murder superman in the 1992 comic “The Death of Superman.” If you watch the trailer below you can see him appear at the end of the trailer around the 2:20 minute mark.
Hey guys, It’s not just Captain America and Iron Man suiting up to fight each other! DC Entertainment’s biggest superheroes are also preparing for war, with the latest trailer for Warner Bros’ Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice debuting on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live. Anticipation for the biggest showdown in comicbook history is growing as we get closer and closer the film’s 2016 release date.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is already shaping up for a massive opening weekend. There is no doubt that anticipation for the film is at record setting levels, with some of those records already being broken. As a result, every movie making studio is looking to attach their biggest trailers in front of the biggest movie that is Star Wars. Which makes sense – its a guaranteed massive audience. Sure the trailers will be released online, but showing those spectacular visual effects on a theater’s big screen with massive sound is still the best way to sell your movie – and the studios know that.
There have already been reports circulating that the upcoming Marvel film, Captain America: Civil War, will be attached to preview before The Force Awakens. Seeing as both are being released by the same studio overlord, Disney, that kind of makes sense. However, there is now news that the first trailer for Fox’s X-Men: Apocalypse will also be attached to Star Wars: The Force Awakens!
