I’m Kylan, the mastermind behind Reel Movie News – Hello!
I enjoy the finer things in life: Films, Movies, and Popcorn with extra butter.
Movies have been a passion of mine since I was a little. My passion started with watching VHS tapes at home (Disney Movies mostly), then it grew to include the movie theater experience; like seeing The Lord of the Rings or Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man on the big screen with a theater full of people. Eventually, I found people online that liked movies just as much as I did and started following those people’s movie blogs and podcast talk shows.
After a few years of religiously reading and listening to these film pundits, I found that I enjoyed discovering how movies were made and marketed just as much as watching them. Fast-forward a few more years and I decided that I should join the ranks of film connoisseurs that I had looked up to for so many years.
Thus, I created Reel Movie News!
I know that the exploration and critiquing of film is not as exclusive of a “club” as it used to be, however, I feel that with each new specialist comes more diversity, and with that diversity comes the ability to relate to individuals around the world with similar tastes in movies. That is an amazing thing and I love being a part of it! Which is why I created Reel Movie News – so I can connect with people through their love and discussion of movies.
Of course, you don’t have to agree with all of my film opinions. It would be absurd to think that was even possible. All movies are subjective, and open to criticism and discussion. This is the model that I build my site around and an ideal that I strongly believe in.
If you have a passion for movies, whether it’s big or small, then I invite you to follow Reel Movie News. Drop a comment on a post you like/dislike and I’d love to discuss the topic with you.
You can also follow me on Twitter @KylanReelNews or send me an email at email@example.com. I’d love to hear from you. If you have a question about movies or about how films are made I’d love to share my thoughts and information with you. If it’s a question others may have, or a topic that invites discussion I’ll post the question and response in the Q&A Section of the blog – should be fun!
Thanks for checking out Reel Movie News, I hope you enjoy it.
