For a few months now, small nuggets of news have been dropped ever so quietly about the still untitled Christopher Nolan directed film. However, Robert Pattinson, just spoke about his experience reading the script, and it’s enough to get you amped for the new Nolan film.
Pattinson has been on a press tour this past week promoting his upcoming Sci-Fi film High Life, directed by acclaimed French director Claire Denis. And it is in this press tour that Pattinson told USA Today that he was “locked in a room” and got to read the script, and found it to be “unreal.”
Here is his full quote:
“I got locked in a room to read the script – I don’t have it myself…. I’ve been a little wary of doing big movies for years and years, but there’s just something about Chris Nolan’s stuff. He seems like the only director now who can do what is essentially a very personal, independent movie that has huge scale. I read the script and it’s unreal.”
Wile many know Pattinson as the “Twilight guy,” he has done everything he can to shed that image by staring in some of the most acclaimed low budget films in recent years – films like Good Time, The Rover, and The Lost City of Z. It is exciting to see him jumping into a film project that has the scope that only Nolan can bring.
Nolan and Pattinson will head into production this summer, allowing Warner Bros. to launch the film in theaters next summer, July 17, 2020.
