Paramount Pictures has just dropped a new trailer for the new adaptation of Stephen King‘s celebrated horror novel Pet Sematary. The trailer shows some significant changes from the source material, so if you’ve read the book, or have seen the previous adaptation, you’re still going in blind.
The duel directors Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer come together to depict the story of a doctor, played by Jason Clarke, and his family who move to rural Maine and discover a mysterious burial ground. When tragedy strikes, the doctor turns to his new, and unusual neighbor, played by John Lithgow, setting off a series of terrifying events. The film also stars Amy Seimets, Jeté Laurence and Hugo & Lucas Lavoie.
Pet Sematary will first premiere at SXSW in Austin, TX before hitting all theaters on Apirl 5, 2019.
