‘Tomb Raider’ Trailer 2

Another trailer for the upcoming video game adaptation of Tomb Raider has been released.  And despite the fact that it is a video game adaptation – something that Hollywood seems to never be able to get right, this trailer actually looks like the movie might be good.

The  movie is directed by Roar Uthaug and stars Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft.  According to a synopsis put out by Warner Brothers, the movie centers around Lara, a young woman determined to forger her own path in life. However, when she tries to unravel the mystery of her father’s death she  finds that the task becomes more dangerous than she could have bargained for for. Suddenly, the stakes couldn’t be higher for Lara, who-against the odds and armed with only her sharp mind, blind faith and inherently stubborn spirit-must learn to push herself beyond her limits as she journeys into the unknown. If she survives this perilous adventure, it could be the making of her, earning her the name “Tomb Raider.”

Personally, this trailer doesn’t look bad at all.  Could Tomb Raider actually be the first true video game movie that is accepted by audiences and critics? Maybe.  We’ll find out when the movie is released on March 16th of this year.
