A New Trailer For ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ Is Finally Here!!!

I’d say its about time!

A new trailer for the Gareth Edwards directed film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, has finally been release – and there is a presence, a presence we’ve not seen since…..

Check out the full trailer here!

The official synopsis released by Disney reads as follows:

From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, an all-new epic adventure. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.

However, if you watched the trailer above, you probably figured out the synopsis yourself.

This is by far the best trailer for the film that has been released so far.  It hits the tone that we have been told about for months – that the film is going to focus more on the “war” part of Star Wars.  The ominous music is awesome, the oppressive feel that the empire is spreading across the galaxy can be felt throughout the trailer, and many more things all add up to create this near perfect trailer.

I say “near perfect” because what’s up with that Darth Vader tease? His time on screen was so small that he couldn’t even finish his only breath in the trailer before it was cut away.  Never did I think that a tease for a Star Wars character would rival that of Luke’s at the end of Star Wars: The Force Awakens – I was wrong.

However, this film looks awesome! And I’m sure the film will make a lot of money on its opening weekend of December 16, 2016.

What do yo think of this trailer?
