Vin Diesel Gives Us ‘Furious 8’ Poster

On Tuesday Vin Diesel shared the first official Furious 8 poster via his Facebook page, which features just him looking out to an empty road. Furious 8 marks the first film in the franchise to not feature Paul Walker, who tragically died in a car wreck in November 2013.

With the poster reading “New roads ahead” its obvious that it is a double meaning.  The first is that it means the beginning of a new adventure for Dom and his, however it also hits home because of Paul Walker’s death and this being the first of the Fast & Furious franchise without his character, Brian O’Conner.

The director for this film is F. Gary Gray,  who you will know because he was the director for the very successful movie, Straight Outta Compton.  Also making their first time appearance in the Fast & Furious franchise is Charlize Theron, who is set to play the new antagonist of the film, and Scot Eastwood.  Returning will be Vin Diesel, Michelle RodriguezTyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Dwayne Johnson, Kurt Russell, Jason Statham (Villain, Deckard Shaw from Furious 7), Lucas Black ( Sean Boswell from The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift), and rumored Eva Mendes (Monica Fuentes from 2 Fast 2 Furious).

Although Paul Walker‘s presence in the Fast & Furious series will be missed, I am still very excited for the movie when it is released on April 14, 2017.
