Tuesday night Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr., who play Captain America and Iron Man, sat down with Jimmy Kimmel to debut the new trailer for the next film in the Marvel franchise, Captain America: Civil War.
The two minute long trailer showed off the Avengers facing off against each other. Which is something that Marvel fans had been clamoring for since Downey was announced as a co-star for the film last year.
The trailer also showed off other Marvel superheros like Black Widow, the Winter Soldier, and our first look at new hero, Black Panther. However Spider-Man, who has been heavily rumored to be in the film as well, was notibly nowhere to be seen in the trailer.
Downey and Evans also unveiled the film’s first official poster that had the two heroes locked eye to eye within Captain America’s iconic red, white and blue shield.
After watching the trailer I can honestly say that my anticipation for the film has gone to a whole new level. I was not expecting the film to be so emotionaly driven, however this trailer proves otherwise.
Captain America: Civil War is set for a release date of May 6, 2016. And it can’t get here fast enough.
